This is an indoor kinetic sculpture forged from mild steel. The flower stem balances on the tip of the base and rotates in the horizontal plane. The hummingbird is a wedge fit onto the stem and can be moved slightly to alter the balance. The finish is brushed steel with a protective coating of Renaissance wax.
The hummingbird is forged from a ~ 3" piece of 3/4" round bar. The tubular flower and stem were forged from a ~ 9-1/2" piece of 3/4" round bar. The base is forged from a ~ 21" piece of 1/2" square bar.
